Being Receiptive

In this class, we work on creating sustainable thoracic extension. So we will create movement of the spine where the ribs attach, in the upper back. In order to do so, we want to move from a place of strength, rather than collapse. We'll also be working to mobilize the space around the ribcage. And it will help to open up the front of the hips as well, to help establish a neutral pelvis. We want to move into backbends (thoracic extension) from a neutral position and have even curvature of the spine, rather than kinks anywhere (like the neck or low back). The whole idea being that when we're more open in this way, we can be more receptive to the world around us.

Anti-Sitting Flow
In this class, we'll work to reset our bodies from all that sitting! In order to do that, we'll focus on creating space in the hips, energy in the calves, stretch out the neck, and get some more opening in the chest/shoulders. If you sit much, this class is a great antidote to that.
