In this class, we'll use reaching the arms at different angles to create expansion of the ribcage. We'll also work to consistently move the ribs back to create more space in the back and help the ribs to more easily stack over the pelvis in neutral. This will all improve your ability to both move well and breathe well. When you can more fully expand your lungs, you can more easily transition into the parasympathetic (or rest and digest) part of the nervous system, which will decrease stress and increase your sense of calm.
